About Brow Lift Surgery

Brow lift surgery reduces the wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead, as well as those that occur on the bridge of the nose, between the eyes. It will improve vertical frown lines that develop between the eyebrows. A brow lift is also ideal for lifting sagging brows that are hooding the upper eyelids and it will place the eyebrows in an alert youthful position. It is common for men and women to complain about their upper eyelids feeling heavy and/or they are experiencing frequent headaches. This can be result of subconsciously trying to lift the eyes to avoid that heavy tired feeling. Droopy brows and eyelids can also impair vision. Dr. Hurvitz may recommend combining a brow lift with upper eyelid surgery to correct both brow sag and upper eyelid hooding.

Brow lift surgery is considered an invasive procedure and requires general anesthesia. There tends to be quite a bit of bruising and discomfort resulting from this procedure, however Dr. Hurvitz’s patients frequently mention the end result was worth it.
